About the role

Join the Aggreko Next Generation Technician Program as an Energy Solutions Technician. You will step into a high-impact, hands-on career operating out of one of our regional service centers. Based on your current experience and academic performance, you will enter through one of two distinct career pathways.

Responsibilities

You will team up with senior technicians to deploy, commission, and test industrial-grade equipment at the shop and on customer sites. You will perform hands-on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and complex repairs across our core fleets: Power Generation, Temperature Control (HVAC/Chillers), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Oil-Free Air Compressors.

There are two career pathways: The Tech 1 Pathway (Shop or Travel Tracks) and The Accelerated Entry-Level Pathway. The Tech 1 Pathway includes:

  • Shop Technicians: Focus heavily on in-house diagnostics, major overhauls, equipment commissioning, and preparing fleet assets for major industrial deployments.
  • Travel/Field Technicians: Work directly on diverse client sites, handling live setups, preventative maintenance, emergency troubleshooting, and local daily travel.

The Accelerated Entry-Level Pathway features an accelerated growth program designed to rapidly fast-track you into a Tech 1 position through targeted mentorship, practical floor time, and priority access to our training modules.

Requirements

To be eligible, you must be a current student or recent graduate (Classes of 2025, 2026, or 2027) from an accredited Trade School, Technical College, or University. You must submit a current official or unofficial academic transcript with your application.

Targeted majors and programs include:

  • Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technology
  • On-Site Power Generation Technology
  • HVAC/R & Climate Control Engineering
  • Electrical Technology & Industrial Electrician
  • Meatronics & Building Automation Systems
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology

Core requirements include a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or DOT medical card based on regional customer requirements. You must also be physically capable of moving or lifting objects up to 75 lbs.

Skills

Other essential job requirements include flexibility, mobility, and dexterity. You must be available to work assigned schedules, travel to client sites as required, and participate in an on-call/standby rotation. You must also be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods, and navigate uneven terrain at industrial job sites without assistive devices.

Benefits

We offer a market-leading entry-level hourly rate with massive overtime and weekend earning potential, an annual bonus program, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will also have access to a company vehicle with personal use privileges and a no-cost healthcare option. Our World-Class Aggreko Academy provides robust, fully paid technical training programs, and we offer tuition reimbursement to support your continued education.

Qualifications

We welcome people from different backgrounds and cultures, and respect people’s unique skills, attitudes, and experiences. We encourage everyone to be themselves at work and consider applications based on qualifications and experience, regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
