Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a successful sales strategy to grow the fuel, lubricant, and propane business.
- Build lasting relationships with customers and prospects through sales and marketing activities.
- Make initial contact with new prospects and develop competitive logistics solutions.
- Closing new business to benefit the division.
- Establish and build a regional energy distribution business.
- Make formal and informal sales presentations.
- Implement an effective sales strategy.
- Take inbound fuel orders and process them.
- Monitor the effectiveness of logistics and documentation support.
- Address and resolve logistical issues.
- Build strong internal networks and maintain consistent communication channels.
- Ensure accuracy of orders in company software.
- Address relationship problems such as credit issues, payment problems, and late deliveries.
- Pursue new customer targets and maintain a customer pipeline for margin growth.
- Communicate with customers in a timely manner to develop relationships that translate into business.
Skills And Qualifications
- Working knowledge of industry product information.
- Well-developed negotiation, project, and account management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.
- Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of the organization.
- Organize, problem solve, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Meet or exceed sales metrics and demonstrate strong mathematical aptitude.
- Thorough knowledge of technology and ability to troubleshoot minor technology issues on the fly.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 3 years petroleum sales experience, preferred.
