The Energy Procurement Analyst role is based in the United States and involves supporting critical energy purchasing decisions through data analysis, market insights, and supplier collaboration. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing pricing activities, analyzing supplier proposals, and providing accurate insights to support customer energy strategies.
- Maintaining accurate customer, supplier, utility, and portfolio data across internal systems.
- Preparing clear summaries of supplier proposals, pricing results, and recommendations for stakeholders and customers.
- Supporting customer renewal strategies by monitoring contract expiration dates and preparing updated market analyses.
- Completing post-contract activities, including documentation, confirmations, and CRM updates.
- Tracking procurement activity, maintaining reporting metrics, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
Requirements
- An analytical and detail-oriented professional with experience in energy markets, procurement, pricing analysis, or related business functions.
- Strong data interpretation skills, excellent organization, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-3+ years of experience in energy markets, energy procurement, pricing, sales operations, analytics, or similar roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with electricity or natural gas suppliers, utilities, energy consultants, or brokers preferred.
- Understanding of deregulated energy markets and procurement processes preferred.
- Experience reviewing contracts, pricing models, supplier proposals, or commercial agreements is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM, procurement, pricing, or contract management systems is beneficial.
