About The Role

You will be the person who understands the rules of the game. This role sits at the intersection of economics, policy, and engineering. You will track market structures, tariff design, regulatory change, and demand response programs across target jurisdictions, then translate that work into product strategy and commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Market and tariff analysis across priority geographies
  • Revenue and value-stack modeling for distributed energy resources
  • Monitoring of regulatory proceedings and policy changes
  • Translating energy market complexity into actionable product and GTM decisions

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative training in economics, applied math, engineering, or similar
  • Fluency in electricity markets, tariff design, DER compensation, and demand response
  • Ability to build financial models and sensitivity analyses
  • Strong writing and synthesis skills
  • Genuine interest in the structure of energy markets

Nice to have

  • Experience across CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, or provincial utility frameworks
  • Experience supporting product or commercial strategy with market analysis
  • Familiarity with FERC, CPUC, utilities, or aggregator ecosystems

  • We have clearer conviction on where and how to win commercially
  • Market-entry and value-stack assumptions get sharper
  • Product decisions improve because they are grounded in market reality

Pay

Canada: C$70,000 - C$105,000. Meaningful equity tied to performance and milestones.
