Energy Managing Director - Financial Advisory Services

Responsibilities

• Managing directors provide direction and guidance to teams of employees.
• Ensuring projects are completed on time.
• Developing and executing the company’s business strategies.
• Providing strategic advice to clients.
• Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans.
• Executing the company’s business strategies to achieve board and shareholder goals.
• Communicating and enforcing company policies and legal guidelines.
• Building and sustaining relationships with senior leadership and key decision-makers.
• Identifying client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Leading and developing teams of consultants.
• Managing and resolving conflicts efficiently.
• Leading cross-functional efforts to ensure collaborative outcomes.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Big 4/public accounting and/or oil and gas industry (upstream preferred).
• CPA or CPA candidate.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with senior leadership, executives, and key decision-makers.
• Proven success in identifying client needs and delivering tailored solutions that drive value.
• Strong business development skills with a track record of driving growth in a professional services environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to independently lead effectively across different teams.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience handling both internal team issues and external client service challenges.
• Strong sense of urgency, proactive initiative, and capability to manage multiple client engagements without compromising service quality.
• Added bonus if you have SEC filing exposure/experience, operational accounting experience, or experience in oil and gas ERPs (Enertia, OGSYS, Pak Energy, Quorum, etc).
