Key Responsibilities
- Manage and litigate public utility, energy and environmental disputes, including regulatory proceedings, administrative hearings, and court cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to energy and public utility commission policies, environmental regulations, and compliance issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on legal risks and compliance strategies concerning energy and environmental laws.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective case strategies.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting energy and environmental sectors.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and hearings.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of one year of experience in energy and environmental litigation.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state public utility, energy and environmental laws and regulations.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
