We are seeking an Energy Modeler to perform energy simulations and collaborate on sustainable designs for architectural projects throughout North America using our new, groundbreaking software platform, AI for MEP®.
Responsibilities
- Design Superior Quality Plans: Your expertise and skills, coupled with our proprietary AI for MEP® software, will result in some of the highest-quality, most accurate plans seen in the industry while being completed in a fraction of the time of traditional design.

- Career Development: You will have the opportunity to participate in meetings and conference calls when necessary, coordinate with the client, the MEP/FP/IT design teams, and other consultants to ensure the design is consistent with the client’s vision, to identify and resolve areas of conflict, to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design, and to ensure the design schedule is maintained.
- Performing energy simulations to assist the design teams with equipment selection and strategies to reach the owner’s energy use goals.
- Prepare documentation for LEED, and WELL projects.
- Prepare energy compliance reports (COMcheck, California Title 24/EnergyPro, Energy Gauge, Seattle/Washington State and ASHRAE forms).
- Identify, analyze, and solve engineering problems using industry standards and engineering calculations.
- Provide mentoring and guidance for colleagues.
Requirements
- In possession of an ABET-accredited degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Energy.
- Two or more years of energy modeling experience with an MEP/FP engineering consultant.
- In possession of or ability to obtain LEED BD+C, or ID+C credentials.
- Energy modeling experience with EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP), Trane Air Conditioning Economics Program (TRACE 700 or TRACE 3D PlusTM)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft 360.
- Knowledge of MEP engineering principles.
- Exceptional communication and organization skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently upon receiving necessary direction and information.
- Thriving in fast-paced environments with a desire to work efficiently.
