Energy Delivery Specialist

About the Role

Northern Partners Cooperative is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Energy Delivery Specialist to deliver refined fuels, propane, lubricants, and related energy products to agricultural, commercial, and residential customers. This position offers the opportunity to be home every night while representing the cooperative with professionalism, prioritizing safety, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely, timely, and compliantly deliver refined fuels, propane, lubricants, and related energy products to customers.
• Operate commercial motor vehicles requiring a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including those from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
• Represent the cooperative professionally, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• DOT Medical Certification, maintained in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• CTEP certification for propane delivery and cylinder filling, required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in energy delivery, fuel transportation, or related operational roles is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates.
