Energy Construction Plans Examiner I/II

About the role

The Inspection Services Division (ISD) within the Community Planning, Housing and Development (CPHD) Department is seeking an Energy Construction Plans Examiner I/II to join our team. The ISD works with Arlington County citizens, design professionals, developers, and contractors to review and inspect projects throughout the County.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior technical energy plans examinations and inspections of commercial construction projects for compliance with state adopted codes, local codes, ordinances, and standards.

Requirements

This position may be filled at level I or II based on candidate's experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience in reviewing and inspecting construction projects.
• Knowledge of state and local building codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
