Building Plans Examiner

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive review and analysis of building plans and city class specifications.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Issue permits and approvals based on thorough evaluations.

Provide technical guidance and support to staff and contractors.

Minimum and Preferred Entrance Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in building inspection, construction administration, or related field.

Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
