About the role
This role involves performing a variety of technical duties associated with the editing, retrieval, processing, validation and market submission of metered data. Responsibilities also include interacting with appropriate personnel to resolve suspected metering or telecommunications problems, working with other companies to come to an agreement on metered values, reviewing, investigating and resolving metered load discrepancies, developing a basic understanding of the workings of RTOs, and providing good communication of system issues.
Responsibilities
- Check Out Focus: Update the Load Accounting System of Record tool to accurately represent the Transmission System.
- Meter Data Retrieval Focus: Interrogate data on the AEP Transmission System using meter reading software and tools, validate data, fill in gaps with estimated data, and resolve issues in the field.
- RTO Market Focus: Review and submit data to RTOs using in-house tools, perform validation checks, and provide monthly reconciliation data.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Entry-level with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Business; OR Associate's Degree and two (2) years relevant experience with Transmission or RTO Settlements or performing statistical and data analysis.
- Other Requirements: Exposure to MV90 Xi, Cognos, RTO markets and/or analytic software such as SAS preferred.
