What You'll Do
- Perform service and repairs on all Endurance fleet assets, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and hands-on maintenance to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to test prototypes, gather field data, and provide actionable feedback for product improvements
- Conduct preventative maintenance schedules to optimize fleet performance and longevity, adhering to safety and quality standards
- Travel up to 25% of the time to support on-site service at Tesla facilities, customer locations, or field operations
- Document all service activities with precise, detailed reports, including diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations for future enhancements
- Assist in developing and refining maintenance procedures, tools, and best practices for the Endurance fleet
- Support Tesla's broader heavy-duty operations, including integration with service centers and customer fleets as needed
- Address charging and electrical system concerns to ensure seamless fleet operations
What You'll Bring
- Valid Class A CDL required, with a clean driving record and ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles safely
- Advanced expertise in troubleshooting and diagnostics for heavy vehicle systems (e.g., electric drivetrains, batteries, HV/LV electrical, braking, and suspension), including experience with OEM tools and software
- Proven ability to produce precise, detailed documentation for repairs, maintenance logs, and technical reports
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate on complex issues, work collaboratively in teams, and deliver exceptional customer service
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic, including customer sites and training), work flexible schedules, and adapt to non-climate-controlled environments
- Physical capability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs. (23 kg.), occasionally up to 100 lbs. (45 kg.), and perform tasks involving standing, walking, reaching, and handling tools/equipment
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and R&D support in a fleet or engineering context is a plus; ASE certifications or equivalent training preferred
