Endpoint & System Security Specialist

At-A-Glance Join an international energy and utilities organization in a pivotal security role as an Endpoint & System Security Specialist. Position Type ContractHybrid Required Experience with endpoint security, server security, or cybersecurity deployment activities. Knowledge of CrowdStrike Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) deployment and configuration. Experience with server inventory management, deployment planning, agent testing, and migration coordination. Knowledge of workstation golden image validation, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and device posture compliance. Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, security remediation, and verification testing. Familiarity with identity threat monitoring and security hardening. Strong coordination, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferences Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure migrations, security deployments, or IT integration projects. Responsibilities Finalize server inventory and migration timelines with DB&T, build the server deployment plan, coordinate pre-migration agent testing, and execute CrowdStrike EDR agent deployment across all legacy and target servers. Conduct security reviews of workstation golden images, validate security tools and core application inclusion, audit high-risk Mobile Device Management (MDM) users for enhanced monitoring, and verify end-to-end device posture compliance before migration. Scope and execute penetration testing on the Jump Domain infrastructure, deploy CrowdStrike Identity Threat Protection (ITP) for active identity threat monitoring and vulnerability scanning, remediate critical and non-critical findings, and perform verification rescans to ensure total risk closure. Validate that application security assessments are complete and endpoint/server protection is fully deployed prior to cutover.
