About the role
The Endpoint Engineer will function as a seasoned and proven endpoint engineer on the support services team to ensure our endpoint infrastructure is consistently up-to-date, stable, and aligned with IT best-practices and our information security program. This role reports to the IT Engineering Manager and works in partnership with our global IT organization, including engineering, enterprise apps, and the support team.
You will oversee our endpoint infrastructure and systems, ensuring standards are upheld and implemented consistently across the global enterprise. The environment is heterogeneous and includes Windows, Mac, and Linux endpoints, with many supported through Microsoft-centric technologies such as Entra, Active Directory, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint (DfE). Your hands-on expertise will help execute an enterprise-wide IT strategy and roadmap that delivers compelling business value on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and drivers.
- Deploy and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to secure and control mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and system optimizations, for both desktops and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot desktop hardware and software issues, as well as mobile device-related problems, providing timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Respond to user support requests and provide technical assistance to resolve desktop and mobile device issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of desktop and mobile systems with network infrastructure and enterprise applications.
- Create and maintain documentation related to desktop configurations, mobile device policies, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of desktop and mobile device infrastructure projects, such as hardware refresh cycles and software upgrades.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to desktop computing and mobile device management.
- Proactively engage with leadership, stakeholders, and end users to foster a culture built on collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Respond to and resolve after-hours events or crises.
- May have the opportunity to travel to other sites within the scope of duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in heterogeneous desktop and endpoint administration, with a focus on enterprise-level and geographically distributed environments.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience and expertise in desktop imaging, deployment, and patch management, including reconfiguring, pruning services, and optimizing performance.
- Proven experience as an endpoint engineer or similar role, preferably with experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM).
- Due to contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or granted asylum/refugee status).
- Candidates must not be a national of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and/or equivalent formal training.
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator, ITIL, or CompTIA A+.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Defender for Endpoint; experience working with Intune from the ground up is a plus.
- Experience with JAMF or ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a plus.
- Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies, such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Knowledge of endpoint security solutions and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems, software applications, networking, and IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and task efficiency.
- Ability to document procedures and design workflows to improve workplace support.

- Proficiency in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and tools.
- Reliability and willingness to be flexible in meeting the demands of a fast-moving business.
- Proven experience supporting Mac and/or Linux endpoints at the enterprise level.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11), Office 365 suite, Active Directory, Group Policy, DfE, and Intune.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $116,000 – $145,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications.
