Job Description

The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City seeks applications for an endowed chair faculty position in entrepreneurship and innovation at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The Department of Entrepreneurship and Management develops, delivers and administers entrepreneurship programs that prepare students and professionals in leadership to distinguish themselves within an existing organization or pursue their own entrepreneurial dream. Our faculty train and encourage our students to develop an entrepreneurial perspective and innovative management skills that allow our students to meet their career objectives. We seek experienced individuals to engage and collaborate with our faculty to further our pedagogical goals.

Qualifications

  • PhD or DBA in business (or a related discipline) with a focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology from an institution where the business school is accredited by AACSB or EQUIS.
  • Evidence of instructional effectiveness. Candidates also must demonstrate the potential to effectively utilize different teaching modalities and to address the needs of students from across a broad portfolio of programs and from many different backgrounds.
  • The candidate must have an established and active research program with a significant portfolio of publications in top-tier outlets.
  • Candidates must demonstrate capabilities needed for engaging with entrepreneurs and key stakeholders in the region’s entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Anticipated Hiring Range

This is an Endowed Chair position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor (tenured). Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in publications and research. This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for tenure. Appointment to begin in August 2026.
