Endoscopy Technologist

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Affords assistance with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients within the endoscopy suite, holding, and recovery areas.
• Orients patients and significant others to the unit.
• Maintains environment by cleaning and storing equipment, disposing of linens, and stocking supplies.
• Keeps patient areas clear of trash and clutter, cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes endoscopy equipment and stretchers.
• On-call, weekend, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrates interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Must have computer, written, and verbal communication skills appropriate to the position.
• Show strong organizational, customer service, time management, administrative, and clerical skills.
• Certification Required – BLS (Basic Life Support).

Qualifications

• Education Required – High School or Equivalent.
• Experience Preferred – 1 year – Related field.

Schedule

• Shift Hours: 6:30AM -5:00PM.
• Shift: Shift 1.
• Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies.
• Weekend Work: Occasional.
• On Call: Yes.
