Endoscopy Technician PRN

Job Summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking an Endoscopy Technician PRN to join their team. This role plays a crucial part in providing safe and effective procedures for patients undergoing gastrointestinal and endoscopy procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• High School Graduate / GED

• Experience in high level procedures (ERCP, GI Bleed, etc) required

• Previous Endoscopy Tech acute experience required

Responsibilities

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked

• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself

• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices

• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety

• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care
