Endoscopy Tech Part-Time

DigestiveCare, LLC, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated endoscopy tech to join our team. As an endoscopy tech, you will play a vital role in upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement.

About the role

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics.

• Prepares equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment.
• Oversees the GI procedures and maintains all aspects of the GI procedure area.
• Assesses patients prior to procedure.
• Documents intra-procedure notes.
• Assists physician on all GI procedures.
• Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area.
• Cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy.
• Assists in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients, basic patient assistance, and stocking.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical assistant certification.
• Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Conscientious, organized, and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment.
• Ability to function as a team player.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal.

Schedule

• Weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call.
• Some later evenings required.
