About the role

The Special Procedures Technician works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurses, the Charge Nurse and the Clinical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintains scopes, equipment, supplies and procedure rooms.
• Assists with the transportation of patients to and from the unit.
• Assists the registered nurses in caring for the patients.
• Functions as a unit secretary and relief scheduler as needed.

Qualifications

• Education required: High school diploma or GED.
• Education preferred: CNA certification.
• Experience: Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with others. Must have basic computer skills. Must possess physical/emotional stamina.
• Licenses/Certificates: Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Current Basic Life Support Certification required.
