About the role
Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Endoscopy Tech/Certified Nurse Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant/Certified Scrub Tech to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Assists the physician with endoscopic procedures and related testing according to the doctor’s preferred routine.
- Performs endoscope reprocessing and troubleshooting.
- Cleans, maintains and orders supplies and equipment.
- Admit/Recovery tasks as delegated.
Requirements
- Current nursing assistant certification or a degree/certification in medical assisting or scrub technician.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Experience in endoscopy procedures including procedural assisting and disinfection/sterilization preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Operation of endoscopy scopes, equipment & endoscope reprocessing units (scope washers).
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Current nursing assistant certification or a degree/certification in medical assisting or scrub technician.
- Experience: Experience in endoscopy procedures including procedural assisting and disinfection/sterilization preferred.
- Equipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge. Operation of endoscopy scopes, equipment & endoscope reprocessing units (scope washers).
- Language/Communication: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Mental Capabilities: Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments under time constraints.
- Interpersonal: Ability to work well with others.
- Performance: Can work well under pressure.
