About the Role

As an Endoscopy Tech at Ridgeline Surgicenter, you will contribute to HCA Healthcare’s mission and vision by assisting with the care of patients undergoing GI/Endoscopy procedures under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for patients
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment
• Prepare the endoscopy unit and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
• Assist in the maintenance, care, and labeling of specimens
• Identify specimens with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not accepted)

About the Facility

Ridgeline Endoscopy Center is an AAAHC-accredited facility located in South Ogden, Utah. The center performs elective, diagnostic endoscopies for patients, averaging over 600 procedures a month.
