We have an exciting opportunity for you to join HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake as an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (PRN). This role offers a PRN/as-needed schedule, allowing flexibility in your career while contributing to a leading healthcare provider.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department requirements and state/specialty standards, following nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."
• Understand and apply aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field and assist in procedures or patient preparation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedural prep areas for different types of surgeries.
• Assess patients prior to surgery, ensuring they understand the procedure, and conduct a "timeout" with the perioperative team before any procedure.
• Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
• Act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
• Deliver quality nursing care services and promote a positive image of nursing.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (required). BSN (preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
• Current BLS Certification (required); ACLS and PALS (preferred).
• 1 year of RN clinical experience in Endoscopy (required), including experience with Endo, EGD, GI, and Gastroenterology.
