Endoscopy Registered Nurse, GI – Full Time, Alexandria, VA
Gastro Health is seeking a full-time endoscopy RN to join our outpatient endoscopy center in Alexandria, VA. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care during endoscopic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist the physicians to provide direct patient care for colonoscopy & endoscopy procedures
- Completion of admission assessments
- Monitor patients receiving IV moderate sedation
- Oversee and participate in the preparation and flow of the procedure room
- Prepare patients, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to educate patients and document procedures
- Ensure adherence to quality standards
- Preparation for discharging patients
- Post-anesthesia care
Requirements
- Current Virginia RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Recovery room experience a plus
- IV skills are a plus
- BLS and ACLS required
