Endoscopy Nurse PRN
Blue River Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Endoscopy Nurse to contribute to our mission by planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care for surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period. You will ensure safe, effective care until the patient is transferred to recovery and perform circulating or scrub duties for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical and GI procedures and oversee instrument and equipment set-up
- Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator
- Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between procedures
- Utilize and update preference cards as necessary
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Active RN license or appropriate compact licensure
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
- ACLS as required by facility
- CNOR / SGNA certification preferred

About the Facility
Blue River Surgery Center, opening in early 2024, is the newest member of the Surgery Ventures Group powered by HCA Healthcare. This state-of-the-art facility will feature five operating rooms and two specialty procedures rooms, staffed by skilled registered nurses and OR techs. Specialties include orthopedics, GI, podiatry, general, and vascular surgery. The center is located in South Kansas City near I-435 and Holmes.
