About the role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGACNP or AGPCNP) to join an established outpatient endocrinology practice in Fort Worth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP who enjoys outpatient medicine and is interested in providing comprehensive care to patients with endocrine and metabolic conditions. The practice is physician‑led, with one endocrinologist and no other APPs currently in the practice, providing an opportunity for the incoming provider to play an integral role in the growth and development of the practice. You will have the chance to build a strong patient panel alongside a new endocrinologist and develop or expand your expertise in endocrinology.

Schedule

  • Outpatient endocrinology only
  • Monday–Friday clinic schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • No nights
  • No weekends
  • No traditional call
  • Practice call managed by telephone only
  • APP provides coverage when the physician is out of the office
  • Opportunity to work closely with a new endocrinologist and help build the practice
  • Collaborative physician partnership with significant autonomy in patient care

Responsibilities

The APP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a broad range of endocrine and metabolic conditions.

  • Diabetes management (Type 1 and Type 2)
  • Insulin pump management
  • Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
  • GLP‑1 therapy
  • Weight management and medical weight loss
  • Hormone therapy (including testosterone therapy)
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Other common endocrine and metabolic conditions

The provider will develop individualized treatment plans, monitor treatment response, educate patients, adjust medications as appropriate, and coordinate care with the supervising endocrinologist and other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have previous APP practice experience and be comfortable managing patients independently in an outpatient setting. Preferred experience includes endocrinology, family medicine, primary care, internal medicine, diabetes management, and weight management. Candidates should be clinically confident, highly organized, patient‑focused, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with the endocrinologist.
