About the role
Assists the physician in the performance of endoscopic procedures. Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order. Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy. Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performs clerical duties as necessary to assure optimal function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy. Assembles and maintains patient chart material, maintains order, cleanliness of the workstation. Completes charges for patients.
Responsibilities

- Maintains supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department in proper working order.
- Cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy.
- Provides appropriate patient care to the Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patient under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred
- Graduate of CNA/MA program Preferred
- No experience required
- Previous experience as Unit Secretary or as CNA/MA Preferred
- Previous experience in Endoscopy Preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Current AHA BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
