End Finder-Base

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads forming packages (empty and with glass) onto and from conveyor to and from transportation equipment and other surge devices.
• Finds ends on packages, identifies stock, and segregates packages (including but not limited to using tube color, wing tags, scanner, other tags, weight, etc.).
• Moves transportation equipment between work and surge areas.
• Visually inspects packages (including but not limited to bead breaks, cuts, under-weights, loose glass, grease, fuzz, broken tubes, no binder, recaps, etc.).
• Performs proper scanning procedure(s).
• Sets aside non-conforming packages and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Records production and generates report(s) (including but not limited to using scanners, uploading data into computer, generating performance report, verifying downtime allowance, etc.).
• Gathers, inspects, and tracks (includes weight & man hours) chargebacks.
• Tags or identifies transportation equipment that needs repair.
• Empties air runback bag waste.
• Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
• Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by Management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment at least 1 year is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for 12 hours a day.
• Learn quickly under fast paced production environment.
• Able to work swing shift.
• Must be able to pass Work Keys.
• Great communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
