As Encroachment Specialist Sr, you'll take lead and apply your advanced expertise in land rights and encroachment solutions to safeguard and propel our infrastructure projects. With a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and a consistent track record of successful partner engagement, you'll be responsible for developing innovative risk mitigation strategies and securing critical project clearances. You will mentor and guide our team, enhancing collaboration across subject areas. This position requires the ability to lead complex negotiations and build lasting partnerships, ensuring projects progress smoothly, efficiently and align with our strategic objectives. Responsibilities/Expectations: Communicates with contractors, landowners, and governmental agencies proactively to articulate and review encroachment requirements as they pertain to proposed crossings and developmentsOffers guidance to operations in the accurate documentation of pipeline crossings and encroachments, ensuring all records are up-to-date and align with regulatory standardsPlays a pivotal role in supporting the internal review process for encroachment projects among key departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to handling encroachmentsHandles, collects, organizes, and tracks all relevant data related to proposed encroachments, serving as the central point for providing comprehensive updates to internal customersConducts training sessions to educate and advise on standard methodologies, processes and procedures related to encroachment management for assigned area of responsibilityInitiates and leads monthly huddle meetings with internal partners to review and discuss pending encroachment projectsDevelops and maintains key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of encroachment management processesOther duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: High school diploma or GED and ten (10) years of experience in the oil and gas industryPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Real Estate, Law, Environmental Studies, or a related subject area Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skillsKnowledge and ability to read and interpret legal agreements, deeds and easements; Ability to read construction drawings and prepare contracts related to land use, encroachments, and right-of-way agreementsPreferred: Experience in drafting legal agreementsPreferred: Experience dealing with encroachment issues in the fieldPreferred: Familiarity with construction and safety guidelines of third parties to ensure compliance and safe practices during encroachment managementPreferred: Understanding of 811 "Call Before You Dig" system and its application in preventing damage to underground utilitiesPreferred: Established relationships in operations and field settings , Assists in implementation of encroachment processes and standards in support of business needs. Responsible for 3rd party inquiries, internal coordination, documentation, training, reporting, etc.
