EMT Specialty Transport

About the role

Responsible for driving the ambulance to and from all specialty transport locations. Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) including medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization to the critically ill. Must understand and have a working knowledge of all equipment and supplies on the Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance in order to assist the Specialty Transport Team in any and all situations.

Responsibilities

• Drive the ambulance to and from all specialty transport locations.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) including medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization to the critically ill.
• Understand and have a working knowledge of all equipment and supplies on the Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of accredited Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program.
• Licensed by the State of Arkansas.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider (CPR).
• State licensure required, National Registry preferred.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider (CPR) required.
• Current Arkansas driver’s license.
• Mets Baptist Health auto insurance requirements.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
