EMT/Safety Seasonal

About the role

Toolik Field Station is seeking a Seasonal EMT to provide both emergency and routine care, support safety, and assist with station operations in a remote Arctic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and non-emergency medical care
• Lead safety trainings and assist with station tasks
• Work closely with station leadership and a consulting medical director
• Stay on call while on shift
• Support station operations and staff confidence in a rugged environment

Requirements

• Current EMT-B certification
• Ability to provide care in a remote setting
• Strong judgment, clear communication, and calm decision-making skills
• Willingness to be on call 24/7 and work independently
• Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and communication
• Physical ability to work long hours and assist with various tasks
• Positive attitude and willingness to support safety and operations
• Drivers license and clean driving record
