EMT - PRN

Position Summary

Onsite Innovations is hiring an experienced and self-driven Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for a PRN position (as-needed). This role provides healthcare support at our onsite healthcare clinic located at a client's distribution center in Clyde, OH.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• May perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing - training provided
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and ancillary testing
• Determine nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures
• Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician
• Triage emergent patients as needed
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician
• Administer prescribed first-aid treatment
• Communicate with emergency treatment facilities as directed
• Maintain supplies, clean equipment, and ensure facility operates efficiently
• Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
• Assist clients with wellness activities
• Keep patients informed of wait times

Education/Credentials

• High School Diploma or GED
• Major: Degree from an accredited college or university
• Certification as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician or Advanced EMT
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, Hair and Oral Fluids Collection certifications (plus)
• OSHA safety certifications or experience (plus)
• ARC/CPR Instructor (plus)
• Must meet credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations

Experience

• 3 years 911 experience required
• Fire Fighter experience a plus
