EMT or Paramedic (Night Shift)

About the role

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT or Paramedic to be an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based, occupational health clinic in Woodbridge, NJ.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 11:00 pm–7:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid care and treatment by triaging an employee after an injury following Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols)
• Support employees with wellness education and teaching
• Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations
• Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor Care Protocols
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
• Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices
• Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues
• Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools
• Perform pre-employment and post-offer screenings
• Conduct Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
• Provide case management and OSHA record-keeping
• Handle general administrative duties
• Order supplies and follow compliance processes
• Work collaboratively with the employer’s Safety Team and Human Resources
• Coordinate with medical providers at offsite offices such as urgent care and hospitals
• Operate independently with remote support from the operations manager and other Medcor staff

Requirements

• Valid licensure for the position and current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong computer and technology skills (cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.)
• Familiarity with EMR software
• Ability to lift a 50 lb emergency response bag
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive and outgoing personality
• Willingness to go above and beyond
• Passion for people and delivering high-quality care

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfort working in a worksite clinic environment
• Relevant occupational health experience
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
