EMT/LPN/RN/CMA - 3RD SHIFT

Full-time, non-exempt position on 3rd shift with weekends as needed. Reports to Occupational Health Manager.

About the role

Respond to medical emergencies on company property, administer first aid or medical assistance, and advise personnel on further treatment. Dispense non-prescription medication, safely dispose of hazardous materials, and maintain medical supply inventory. Perform audiometric testing, support the hearing conservation program, and prepare accident reports. Maintain OSHA records, conduct pre-employment health and drug screens, and review physician reports related to employee health and workers’ compensation claims.

Responsibilities

• Administer first aid and medical assistance during emergencies.
• Dispense non-prescription medication as needed.
• Safely dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., bandages, needles).
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and replace outdated equipment.
• Perform audiometric testing, establish baseline data, and conduct annual follow-ups.
• Assist with the hearing conservation program, ensuring proper use of protective equipment.
• Prepare accident reports in coordination with supervisors and maintain treatment records.
• Maintain OSHA records for reportable illnesses and injuries.
• Conduct pre-employment health and drug screenings.
• Review physician reports, workers’ compensation claims, and medical restrictions.
• Perform screening examinations (vision, audiometry, spirometry) and refer abnormal findings.
• Assist with obtaining health histories and referrals as needed.
• Maintain legally compliant nursing recordkeeping and ensure confidentiality.
• Work full time, including every other Saturday as needed, with flexibility for different shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State-issued RN, LPN, or EMT license.
• 1 year of experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or ambulatory care setting.
• CPR Certification.
• CAOHC hearing conservation certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Familiarity with musculoskeletal disorders and their treatment.
• Comfortable and effective in medical emergency situations.
• Bilingual (preferred but not required).
