Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in Billings, Montana join a top private EMS provider dedicated to delivering high-quality emergency and non-emergency patient care. As the only 911 transporting agency in Billings and the largest ambulance service in Yellowstone County, this position offers dynamic shifts with varied call volumes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
• Awareness of system changes and company policy updates.
• Maintain certification levels and types consistent with assigned tasks.
• Comply with state and company requirements for vehicle operation.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with policy.
• Locate addresses quickly and safely using number systems and street layouts.
• Maintain unit readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supplies, equipment, cleanliness, and appearance.
• Report discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards immediately.
• Complete all required documentation as per company policy.
• Report problems and unusual occurrences promptly to supervisor.
• Adhere to hygiene and uniform standards.
• Attend mandatory in-services.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and strengthen community relations.
• Deploy on wildland fires, disaster response teams, and local SWAT teams.
• Provide medical care at various events throughout the county.

Requirements

• National Registry EMT certification
• Montana State EMT certification within 60 days of hire
• BLS CPR certification
• Driving record compliant with AMR Safety and Driving policy
• Obtain EMT endorsement during training period
