About the role
The program offers an Earn While You Learn opportunity for individuals interested in becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Responsibilities
- Hired as a full-time employee and compensated a training wage while attending the EMT Academy.
- Compensation covers all books, tuition, fees, and uniforms.
- Qualified to take the National Registry of EMT exam upon completion of the academy.
- Eligible for Montana State EMCT-EMT Basic Certification upon successful completion of the course and state certification.
- Transferred to an EMT position after completing the program.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Hold a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid Montana Driver License without restrictions.
- Pass a thorough pre-employment screening, including motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, and a physical agility test.
- Sign a 12-month service commitment/agreement contract.
