EMT - Huntsville EMS - PRN - Shift Varies

Responsibilities

• Affords assessment of nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
• Administers initial treatment at emergency scene and records patient’s vital signs.
• Maintains driving status and insurable status.
• Communicates with hospital/TCC personnel via approved methods.
• Maintains updated credentials and follows protocol changes.
• Documents patient care accurately in approved reporting methods.
• Maintains safety and security procedures for vehicle and station.
• Restocks supplies and performs minor maintenance on emergency vehicle.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of vehicle and station.
• Assists in directing and coordinating additional personnel on scene.
• Faithfully reports to work and maintains acceptable attendance.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and family members.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED, and EMT certificate.
• Certification/License: State of Alabama EMSP License as EMT, valid and current driver’s license, Healthcare Provider CPR Certification upon hire or within provisional period.
