About the role
We are seeking a Center Medical Specialist to perform donor health assessments, build rapport, and ensure donor safety in plasma donation centers.
Responsibilities
- Conducting physical exams
- Evaluating donor medical history
- Providing health education
- Managing adverse events, injuries, and providing test result counseling
- Assisting in staff training
- Maintaining donor confidentiality
- Educating donors on health and test results
- Administering employee vaccination programs
- Performing health assessments and determining donor suitability
Qualifications
- Current licensure or certification as an EMT‑Basic, EMT‑Advanced, Paramedic, RN, LPN, or Vocation Nurse in the state of employment
- CPR certification
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish
Skills
- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Good hand‑eye coordination, hearing acuity, and color perception
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently within guidelines
- Adhere to safety protocols (including PPE use) and be comfortable working in biological and extreme cold environments
