About the Role

An EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) is a certified first responder providing basic life support (BLS) care, assessing patients, and transporting them in ambulances or within hospital departments. The role focuses on stabilization and immediate needs, requiring skills in patient assessment, BLS protocols, and documentation. HCA EMT roles involve both emergency call response and inter-facility transfers, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining equipment readiness.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assist paramedics
• Provide basic life support (BLS) and monitor patients (vitals)
• Transport patients between facilities or to the ER
• Ensure patient care logistics and documentation

Requirements

• Valid state EMT license
• BLS/CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Associate’s Degree

Collaboration

Works closely with paramedics, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
