EMT Certified Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Expedites chip fills, credits, and marker buy backs for Tables Games, Cashiers, and Slots departments.
• Aids guests by providing directions and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Investigates all accidents on Harrah’s/Caesars Republic premises and assists injured guests as necessary.
• Checks guest identification to ensure they are 21 years of age or older before allowing entry to gaming areas.
• Patrols the parking lot and garage by car or van.
• Escorts employees with monies.
• Completes written reports as assigned.
• Controls and directs traffic as needed.
• Maintains great customer service and monitors the casino, parking lot, and garage for disturbances, crimes, fire hazards, and undesirable persons.
• Reports issues to Security supervision.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of the material being handled.
• Literacy and fluency in English.
• Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Report writing skills.
• Computer literacy required.
• Ability to obtain a license from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
• Acts as a role model to other Team Members and maintains high standards of integrity.

Additional Requirements

• Auditory and visual fields must include immediate environment.
• Able to move quickly in response to emergency situations.
• Able to deal with violent situations by verbal de-escalation or physical restraint.
• Able to bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and carry up to 2000 feet.
• Able to restrain or assist in restraining a person of up to 200 lbs.
• Able to walk/stand up to 8 hours per day.
• Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
• May be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
