EMT - Bilingual Spanish Required

Role Overview The Center Medical Specialist performs physical examinations, assesses donor suitability, and educates donors on health and test results. They build rapport with donors, ensure confidentiality, and manage donor safety by evaluating potential hazards and adverse events. Responsibilities include assisting in employee training, administering hepatitis vaccines, and handling donor injuries. Qualifications & Skills Current certification/license as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT, with CPR certification.Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, bending, twisting, light lifting, and fine motor movements.Good communication skills, visual acuity, and the ability to work independently within guidelines.Exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms, requiring proper PPE. Key Duties Conduct physical exams and review medical history to determine donor eligibility.Educate donors on health matters and test results, and evaluate injuries or adverse reactions.Assist in training staff and administer employee vaccination programs.Maintain donor confidentiality and safety protocols.
