EMT Basic (Part Time)
About the role
Deliver Exceptional Care: Maintain high clinical standards while providing basic life support, including CPR, airway management, oxygen application, bleeding control, and splinting. Ensure Safe Transport: Safely operate ambulances and manage patient handling, including proficient stretcher operations, lifting, and loading. Provide Compassionate Service: Treat patients, family members, and facility staff with the utmost respect, providing both emergency and convalescent care. Collaborate Professionally: Work under hospital-approved medical protocols and cooperate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare partners and co-workers.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current State of Michigan EMT License.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications: Valid CPR certification.
- Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Physical Ability: Physically capable of lifting and moving patients and carrying heavy medical equipment.
- Vetting: Ability to pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Certifications - PHTLS or ITLS certification (Note: PHTLS training can be provided upon hire). Soft Skills - Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress environments.
