About the role

We're hiring an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. Our Oneonta operation has always been proud of having a reputation for outstanding care, being stewards of the community we help serve, and developing solutions that propel prehospital emergency medicine forward. AMR is one of Global Medical Response's (GMR) family of solutions. Our GMR teams deliver compassionate, quality medical care, primarily in the areas of emergency and patient relocation services.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients, determines necessary care, and delivers emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques, equipment and EMT scope of practice.
• Documents patient details, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Takes pride providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, such as bleeding control, oxygen administration and shock management.
• An EMT operates an ambulance according to applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Works collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow prehospital providers.
• Establishes and maintains strong community relations through community programs.

Qualifications

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification

Pay

Starting rate: $20.00 and up, based on experience. Pay range: $20.00 - $22.50 /hr.
