About the role

American Medical Response (AMR) is a union-based company providing emergency medical services in Seattle/King County and surrounding areas. Founded in 1923, AMR is a subsidiary of the nation’s largest private healthcare provider, Global Medical Response. The company employs a local team who work closely with local 911 systems and health care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintains awareness of system changes and company policies.
• Maintains certification levels consistent with assigned tasks.
• Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policy.
• Develops ability to quickly locate addresses and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Completes documentation and reports issues promptly.
• Maintains professional appearance and attends mandatory in-services.

Requirements

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training and certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License.
• Acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Discretion and confidentiality skills.
• Read, interpret, and follow instructions.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Skills

• Emergency vehicle operation knowledge.
• Radiocommunication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of medical supplies and equipment.

Pay

The starting wage is $27.69 - 32.27 per hour, including weekend differential. AMR wages are based hourly and not on an annual basis. Overtime and other opportunities are available, including Wildland Fire EMS, Disaster Response Team, and multiple stand-by events.

Schedule

All applicants must be willing to work flexible shifts, including 8, 10, 12, or 14-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
