About the role
The program offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in pre-hospital medicine. 91% of AMR students that successfully completed the course are still currently happily employed, with some pursuing further certifications like Paramedic.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients.
- Function as part of a comprehensive EMS response under medical oversight.
- Perform interventions with basic equipment typically found on an ambulance.
- Be a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid Montana Driver License with no restrictions.
- Successfully complete thorough pre-employment screening, including motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, and a physical agility test.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation.
- Instructor-led, hands-on training program.
- Training is approximately 4 months long, ending in December.
