EMS Student

About the role

The program offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in pre-hospital medicine. 91% of AMR students that successfully completed the course are still currently happily employed, with some pursuing further certifications like Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients.
• Function as part of a comprehensive EMS response under medical oversight.
• Perform interventions with basic equipment typically found on an ambulance.
• Be a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid Montana Driver License with no restrictions.
• Successfully complete thorough pre-employment screening, including motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, and a physical agility test.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation.
• Instructor-led, hands-on training program.
• Training is approximately 4 months long, ending in December.

Pay

Hourly pay - $18.97

Schedule

This program begins on August 31, 2026. Training is about 4 months long, ending in December.
