EMS Instructor (Adjunct)

Temporary adjunct position for the Emergency Medical Services program. Contracts are issued on a per-semester basis and conclude at the end of each term.

About the role

A part-time faculty member provides direct instruction in classroom, lab, clinical, or distance-education settings under the management of the Program/Division Chair and supervision of the Academic Dean.

Responsibilities

• Successfully prepare, manage, and deliver course content to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.
• Actively engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner.
• Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance.
• Work collaboratively with the College’s support services to identify and address students’ academic support needs.
• Utilize College technology for instruction and operational processes, including the learning management system, email, document management, student information system, and employee portals.
• Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.
• Ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order when applicable.
• Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty, and staff.

Pay

Hourly rate between $19.93 and $29.62, exempt under FLSA.
