Job Summary
The Emergency Medical Services Educator will provide EMS education through Sanford to internal/external customers. Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical and/or clinical knowledge and expertise in EMS-based scenarios in a simulated environment.
- Curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups.
- Facilitating simulation learning and participating in debriefing.
- Serving as a simulator operator or clinical expert running pre-programmed scenarios.
- Training individuals and teams using adult learning principles.
- Collaborating with faculty instructors and ensuring all equipment is set up for course programs.
- Coordinating programs, course and class schedules, and participating in simulation training.
- Mentoring and educating faculty and staff.
- Maintaining all equipment in working order and reporting any concerns with equipment or vehicles.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Associates degree in EMS or similar area of study preferred.
- BLS Certification, BLS Instructor, or nationally registered EMT or higher required.
- Depending on state requirements, a state license may be needed.
- May need to have NAEMT Instructor or AHA Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor certification based on the level of classes taught.

About the Role
This PRN position will help cover CPR classes at the new Amber Valley facility. Responsibilities include helping with the Explorer program and mentoring students.
