About the role
The EMS Coordinator Assistant is a vital role in supporting the emergency medical services coordination team. This position involves assisting administration, organization, and implementation of EMS programs and initiatives to enhance the delivery of emergency medical services in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to assist the EMS Coordinator in daily operations and project management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EMS activities and protocols serving as a liaison between the EMS team and external stakeholders including hospitals, emergency departments, and community organizations.
- Facilitate communication among EMS personnel, ensuring timely dissemination of information.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain data related to EMS response, patient care, and operational performance, as well as preparing statistical reporting and performance metrics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Paramedic completion. Must be currently licensed in WI and IL.
- National Registry preferred.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple demands.
- Familiarity with EMS protocols and operations helpful.
- Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
- Special Qualifications: WI instructor one and willing to obtain WI instructor preferred.
