Employment Support Specialist / DSP

About the role

ECHO is seeking an Employment Support Specialist to help adults with disabilities find, learn, and succeed in real jobs in the community. The role involves a Monday–Friday schedule (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), no nights or weekends, and consistent scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support individuals on the job at local businesses
• Help build confidence, independence, and job skills
• Aid in learning tasks, routines, and workplace expectations
• Support positive relationships between participants and employers
• Track progress and celebrate milestones
• Ensure safety and follow individualized support plans

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (including fingerprinting)
• Experience in human services or related field preferred but training provided for the right candidate
