About the role

The Employment Specialist will work with individuals to develop and implement employment plans that address their unique needs and goals. This includes assisting with resume building, job search strategies, and securing employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in developing individualized employment plans
• Support clients in job search activities including resume writing and interview preparation
• Facilitate connections between clients and potential employers
• Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the employment process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Experience working with individuals with substance use or mental health challenges
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of employment services and resources
• Understanding of the impact of substance use and mental health on employment outcomes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
