About the role

The Part Time Employment Specialist at Mission Statement Baltic Street Wellness Solutions is responsible for providing vocational/employment services to adult mental health clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual intake interviews of program candidates as assigned.
  • Present at clients' intake disposition meetings; provide alternative referrals for persons unable to use the program’s services.
  • Support 8-10 cases providing services such as developing an Individual Work Plan (IWP), working with clients on job search strategies, and providing ongoing support.
  • Develop and maintain case records for all clients on caseload, attending bi-weekly staff meetings and case review meetings.
  • Provide post-employment support services, including job coaching, employment counseling, and advocacy.
  • Act as a Work Benefits Work Incentive Advisor (BWIA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Employment Counseling or Vocational Rehabilitation with adults with mental illness.
  • Familiarity and experience with self-help recovery model and its relevance to providing vocational rehabilitation services.
  • Ability to independently make informed decisions that directly impact employment outcomes for participants.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including internet research, MS Office, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience as a Peer Advocate or related experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
